Roger Clark Described His Work That Earned Him a Noble Peace Prize Nonmination

Roger Clark has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize.

Roger spoke to us about the things he did that lead to his nomination.

We learned that the he was presenting cases to the International  Court of Justice on nuclear weapons testing  and their effect on small countries that did not have the voice to stop the testing in their part of the world.

The court, we learned, hears 2 types of cases. One is Advisory and the other is Contentious.

Advisory cases seek the court's opinion. Contentious cases seek to decide is there is a violation of law. This gets into the area of jurisdiction.

Roger explained how he started on this work in the 60's. He is still working on it.

Lincoln's Second Inaugural Address -- Ed Dwyer

Lou Dunkle started us off with some words of wisdom..

Then President Neil Wise introduced Ed Dwyer.
Ed then had circle our chairs so we could better discuss Lincoln's Second Inaugural Address.
Once in a circle we went over each paragraph and discussed the powerful meanings in each and the economy of words Lincoln used to make his points. As with the Gettysburg address, the speech was not very long.

Physical Therapy - Richard Romash

Physical Therapist Richard Romash tells us what therapy is, how it works and what to expect.

He has been in Haddonfield since 1989 and deals orthopedic and balance issues.

He works with people with joint issues either as a joint replacement of a malady, such as degenerative arthritis. He does not prescribe medicine, but does work to help control pain and recover from surgery.

He works to get people back to their highest level of performance possible. That may not be to what they expect or what they could do prior to the surgery or malady.

We works to treat and release. His focus is on exercise. the key idea is to get you moving again.

A lot of questions were posed and his answers were very helpful.
