Trip to the KROC Center in Camden

At the invitation to Captain Terry Woods of the Salvation Army, we took a trip to see the KROC Center and have a lunch at the cafeteria there.

We were all impressed with the  size, services, and commitment of the Kroc The Center is more that a place of worship. They have a community center as  well as a food bank.

So many weeds to choose from .. Where should I start?

We've got a hold on them now!!!

Things are looking much better now....

Stag Lunch Oct 13, 2016

This years Fall Lunch was held at Tavistock CC. Our Featured Speaker was John Batchelor. We learn a lot about his experiences in the Navy as a member of a Submarine crew and as a coach at the academy.

We also got an idea of what his experiences were as a teacher at Eastern High School.

LED Lighting - Chuck Kanuple

Chuck runs a company that does commercial retrofit lighting for conversions to LED. Chuck has done conversions for local buildings, including Christ the King.

Chuck explained the differences between incandescent, fluorescent and LED bulbs. The biggest difference is the amount of energy saved. It's about 90% for an LED versus an incandescent. LED bulbs are plastic  and not breakable.

There are also state rebates for replacing incandescent and fluorescent bulbs with LED.
