Barbara Boyer describes the Sheridan Murder Case (Part 2) 2024-02-22

Barbara Boyer tells us about the Deaths of John and Joyce Sheridan

On September 28, 2014, John Sheridan, a former New Jersey Transportation Commissioner and health care executive, was found dead along with his wife Joyce in their home in SkillmanNew Jersey, United States. The bodies were found in the house's master bedroom by firefighters responding to a fire emergency, with both exhibiting stab wounds. The case was initially believed by the Somerset County prosecutor's office to have been a murder-suicide and wrote a public report to this effect. The report has been challenged and the case is still unsolved.

This presentation takes us up to where the case stands today.

Red Kettle Collection - December, 2023

Our Annual Red Kettle Collection for the Salvation Army

Each year we have a day where we volunteer to staff a Red Kettle
collection for the Salvation Army at the KROC Center in Camden.

We do this at the Acme in Haddonfield. We form teams to staff the Red Kettle in 1 hour sessions. The volunteers always have a lot of fun seeing their friends and collecting for a very good cause. This year we thank:
Bill Brown
Jay Cokos
Tom Diemer
Bill Hoffman
Roger Jacobs
Chuck Kanupke
Al Schmidt
Dave Tarditi

This year had a an unexpected suprise. We were missing the Red Kettle!

Our ever resourceful team called our Salvation Army contact Dawn Garlic and she arraged a special delivery of a Red Kettle for us. In the meantime our team used a "Red Bag" to collect the money.

Nice job guys and thank you Dawn.

On the previous day, our 65 Club members brought unwrapped gifts, toys, toiletries, etc to our annual Christmas Holiday Luncheon at Tavistock Country Club and we delivered them to the wonderful volunteers at the Salvation Army's Ray & Joan Kroc Center in Camden, NJ.

Delivered Gifts to Salvation Army Folloing Our Holiday Party

Delivered the generous gifts collected at the 65 Club Christmas Holiday Luncheon at Tavistock 12/12/23 to the Salvation Army Kroc Center in Camden. Their time frame was limited so no time for us to display individual packages around the tree as per last year.
Most appreciated by the staff, who immediately went to work to add to their gift displays. Good effort 65’ers
!
Al & Roger.
