Marketing - Joe Haro

Joe told us about Marketing, the definition, some examples and some stories of what is changing.

Some examples are:

Marlboro used to be "Lady Marlboro". Once changed it has become an Icon

Commerce Bank -- Changed the industry by changing itself to be more like Burger King -- Anyway you want it at times convenient to you.

Retail has to innovate -- like Wawa

Collingswood was a dying town until the mayor brought in restaurants...

Big stores like Macy's are getting smaller and going to niche markets.

Advertising is changing..
TV Networks used to control the news. and media marketing. Now it is shifting to digital marketing over the internet.

Spring Luncheon

This year's luncheon was a big hit. We had a great time and had a lot of members attending.

We were entertained by musicians from our high school.

We also had our awards for golf and the Bill Hitchings Award that went to Bill Brown

In addition to local dignitaries, the Fire Chief and Police Chief, we had for our speaker Maria Moffa.

Maria talked to us about things to do to be free of Stress, Worry and Tiredness. That is to find your Passion and Fulfill your Purpose.

1) Practice Gratitude. Start each day with a list of things for which you are grateful.
2) Be humble
3) Exercise and eat healthy - What you put in to your body affects your mind and your attitude.
4) Find a higher power - When you believe in a higher power you are more free.
5) What you think about, you bring about - It's all about intention.
6) Your first 10 seconds determine your day - plan your attitude first.
7) Pray and meditate - Take time to be quite, recharge and breathe.
8) Do something inspirational each day.
9) Do something crazy and fun - something new to tap into your craziness
10) Be of service to others - Volunteering keeps us young.
