Terry Woods from the KROC Center in Camden

Major Terry Woods of the Salvation Army is Camden.

We learned a little about the Salvation Army KROC Centers, how they started  as a result Joan Kroc And he told us of their goals.
The 120,000 square-foot Salvation Army Kroc Center redefines what a community center is all about. This unprecedented place of gathering and enrichment houses an array of education, sports, faith, arts and supportive programs never before assembled under one roof in Camden, open and accessible to all. The programs, as well as the building itself, have been designed to stimulate the mind, body and spirit, to provide hope, and to transform the life of each and every member of the community.
We also learned a little bit about the Army itself.

The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.
We hope to plan a trip  yo the KROC Center and some of us might volunteer, especially during the Christmas Season as part of the Red Kettle Campaign.
