Safety Awareness

Chief Ted Stuessy and John Massanova Told us about our 911 systems and how they work. We also learned that there is a phone number for non-emergencies and when in doubt,  call 911 and they will assist you.

Also, if you call 911 and hang up, a police officer must be dispatched to find out if there is a problem. So unless yo do a 'butt dial' stay on the line to ensure them that it was a mistake.. The  one point mentioned was your children picking up a phone and just pressing numbers. 

Chief Ted also told us of current scams, including IRS tax payments. The IRS never does this, so if you get a call that you feel is a scam, let the police know.

Bus Trip to the Linc & Simeone Car Museum

Thanks to great planning by Bill Brown and Jack Aharon, on June 28 at 10 am, we took off, without delay, on our bus trip for our tour of Lincoln Financial Field, lunch at Chickie & Pete's and our tour of the Simeone Car Museum.


We had a relaxing ride to the LINC and no trouble parking
..


Then it was off on our tour of the stadium, starting at the top and working our way down to the locker rooms and the field.











We also Learned that the stadium is very energy-efficient and recycles everything it can.




Next Stop was  where we had a great lunch.

Tai Chi & Aging

Jack Poupard and his friend Sue talked about and demonstrated to us the benefits of Tai Chi on our quality of life as we age.

Tai Chi improves your balance and overall breathing. It is easy on the joints and can be a relaxing part of your day

They hold a class each Wednesday at 4 pm in the Lutheran Church in Haddonfield. The cost is $5.
